Czech Prosecutor General Pavel Zeman admitted that the case of the 2014 explosions of ammunition depots in Vrbetice may be stopped if it is not possible to interrogate the suspects or ensure their presence. His words are quoted by RIA Novosti.

According to him, from the very beginning, the investigation has only one version and it is impossible to exclude that the criminal proceedings will end with the postponement of the case if it is not possible to interrogate both suspects or ensure their presence. "This is a legal procedure," the Prosecutor General said.

Zeman stressed that the citizens of the Czech Republic can be proud of how the situation with the incident in Vrbetice was resolved. "I can say that I am proud of the Czech Republic, the way it handled the situation, the way it resolved it," he said.

The Czech Republic accuses Russian security services of involvement in the explosions at an ammunition depot in Vrbetice on October 16, 2014, which killed two people. Then, presumably, ten thousand kilograms of ammunition, including medium-range missiles, exploded. According to the Prague version, the day before the explosion of the warehouse, there were Russians Alexander Petrov and Ruslan Boshirov, whom the UK accuses of trying to poison former GRU agent Sergei Skripal.
