Relatives of Russians detained in Turkey on suspicion of arson of forests, told about their situation. The mother of one of the arrested in a conversation with RT shared information about what is happening in the prison in Antalya: according to her, local lawyers refuse to defend them.
"A lawyer who spoke neither English nor Russian and a judge on duty came to their office. There was a preliminary hearing of the case in the department, and despite the fact that no verdict was pronounced, they were not released either on their own recognizance or on bail. And there is one girl among them. She is now alone in some kind of women's prison, she is hysterical," the woman said.
The names of the detainees also became known: Anatoly and Nikita Yaroshenko, Dmitry Korshunov, Alexander Antoshkin, Konstantin Chebuchakov, Ivan Ukhov and Polina Yaskova.
Their detention became known earlier on October 25. It was reported that they came across a fire in the forest and tried to extinguish it, and then called emergency services — but local residents and police mistook them for arsonists.
