#prices President Biden - 2022-07-26 gas prices #average #wrote #washington - Aale#skeriut - 07-27-2022 President Biden continued to brag about gas prices falling by a small amount on Twitter Monday morning, to the mockery of users. "For American families looking for a little more breathing room, these savings matter," Biden’s presidential account tweeted. The tweet also included a graphic informing followers that "At current prices, the average driver will spend $35 less per month for one peson [sic]" or "$70 less per month for a family with two cars than they would if gas prices stayed at their peak." Washington Examiner and Daily Signal contributor Nicole Russell tweeted, "But I thought you had nothing to do with gas prices?" Louisiana Sen. Bill Cassidy wrote, "In other words, Americans are paying over $100 more a month per ‘peson’ to fill up their gas tanks than when Biden took office." Washington Examiner reporter Andrew Kerr noted, "The figures in Biden's tweet this morning assume the average ‘peson’ is consuming 50 gallons of gas a month per vehicle. 2 cars = 100 gallons of gas = $70 in ‘savings’ a month for the average American family, according to Biden's methodology." "Now do prices compared to a year ago, snake oil salesman," Lone Conservative founder Kassy Dillon tweeted. Biden had previously suggested that rising gas prices and inflation rates were caused by a "Putin Price Hike" due to the war in Ukraine. Since prices have fallen after their peak in June while the war rages on, the administration has started taken credit for the average price for a gallon of gas falling below $5. However, most states continue to pay more than $4 a gallon for gas, with the average price as of Monday at $4.36. When Biden took office on January 20, 2021, the average cost was $2.39 a gallon. Many users also called out the blatant typo in the graphic, using "peson" instead of "person" in an official government tweet. BIDEN MUST ‘STOP THE FALL IN GASOLINE PRICES,’ SET $5 GALLON MINIMUM TO COMBAT CLIMATE CHANGE: BLOOMBERG OP-ED "For one 'peson'? That's great. I hate paying too much for a peson! Peson inflation is a bane on the nation's economy!" Washington Times reporter Mike Glenn tweeted. Townhall.com editor Rebecca Downs wrote, "Who spellchecked this…? What is a ‘peson?’" "How many people were involved in planning, designing, editing and sending this poster? Minimum of five, probably a lot more. Yet it still went out with a glaring typo. Tells you a lot about how this White House is staffed and run," tweeted Hans Mahncke, co-host of "Truth Over News" on EpochTV. 8517220 2200030 5480613 3300618 7289062 3259015 3605382 2199632 3818655 9349607 7644866 2104385 803630 6255528 5473536 4692316 5691346 4016878 8797634 3509177 8744675 4125552 3494551 7510726 136663 1882762 5770533 3761578 2795393 7514249 2130115 9118300 231213 2146242 3600445 3263592 1038243 7216080 7202240 7905854 4315081 8440012 121073 9521538 2708293 7901526 4547975 5452934 2299724 376610 3675815 5723759 1062879 2475410 1792111 5414665 98849 5708364 3960851 4933816 4375370 7053477 3252309 8034073 2188943 3131166 5986209 9919175 5059692 6573903 7966666 279902 2293907 5693168 7168157 8600928 6913391 1022633 847044 1603249 2191553 4843970 7542914 5124561 491470 2289196 6950375 5330796 8647545 5098738 3107225 6560650 6597642 1650788 8890192 5673523 8476760 9332805 2281388 5231043 7913028 7873505 7357239 363141 1723195 4701204 5501353 6654975 8735608 5947400 4773639 8911773 2968417 9176467 7933273 3126221 2854887 6436464 2070588 6506028 769663 8723576 5312695 2909072 9543988 5463547 8589604 3509876 5213150 5087616 2908409 5065351 7688065 5313531 5113978 606360 3602591 4213039 7613168 9902469 8022373 5664777 14876 9557000 4262926 5287842 3161290 5049192 3508871 5444389 8530988 9593364 8477026 411578 8462016 7150228 7828041 5308402 5176159 9421894 545401 4884957 9071971 9196296 2005916 748020 9257231 4865331 5963321 8133268 |
