#peson President Biden - 2022-07-26 gas prices #prices #wrote #tweet - Aaaazcccz - 07-27-2022 President Biden continued to brag about gas prices falling by a small amount on Twitter Monday morning, to the mockery of users. "For American families looking for a little more breathing room, these savings matter," Biden’s presidential account tweeted. The tweet also included a graphic informing followers that "At current prices, the average driver will spend $35 less per month for one peson [sic]" or "$70 less per month for a family with two cars than they would if gas prices stayed at their peak." Washington Examiner and Daily Signal contributor Nicole Russell tweeted, "But I thought you had nothing to do with gas prices?" Louisiana Sen. Bill Cassidy wrote, "In other words, Americans are paying over $100 more a month per ‘peson’ to fill up their gas tanks than when Biden took office." Washington Examiner reporter Andrew Kerr noted, "The figures in Biden's tweet this morning assume the average ‘peson’ is consuming 50 gallons of gas a month per vehicle. 2 cars = 100 gallons of gas = $70 in ‘savings’ a month for the average American family, according to Biden's methodology." "Now do prices compared to a year ago, snake oil salesman," Lone Conservative founder Kassy Dillon tweeted. Biden had previously suggested that rising gas prices and inflation rates were caused by a "Putin Price Hike" due to the war in Ukraine. Since prices have fallen after their peak in June while the war rages on, the administration has started taken credit for the average price for a gallon of gas falling below $5. However, most states continue to pay more than $4 a gallon for gas, with the average price as of Monday at $4.36. When Biden took office on January 20, 2021, the average cost was $2.39 a gallon. Many users also called out the blatant typo in the graphic, using "peson" instead of "person" in an official government tweet. BIDEN MUST ‘STOP THE FALL IN GASOLINE PRICES,’ SET $5 GALLON MINIMUM TO COMBAT CLIMATE CHANGE: BLOOMBERG OP-ED "For one 'peson'? That's great. I hate paying too much for a peson! Peson inflation is a bane on the nation's economy!" Washington Times reporter Mike Glenn tweeted. Townhall.com editor Rebecca Downs wrote, "Who spellchecked this…? What is a ‘peson?’" "How many people were involved in planning, designing, editing and sending this poster? Minimum of five, probably a lot more. Yet it still went out with a glaring typo. Tells you a lot about how this White House is staffed and run," tweeted Hans Mahncke, co-host of "Truth Over News" on EpochTV. 6817334 3224744 3914538 435719 9882681 1277960 1191321 8817951 6519475 1647015 6891062 6194199 5767799 9719854 6373634 8931507 4860462 6102057 2360451 6662564 9569249 5227881 2398633 1470188 9526877 8836499 593379 8414008 233215 2890677 6571428 2244749 5969611 9030407 7157065 7627983 351541 4175956 8713002 2757733 3707318 4341187 632590 8662354 9040291 1285493 2934021 9085868 763955 3070205 3446870 8254373 2935723 2132818 2535523 6395731 6224876 6957666 5845951 5343804 5307708 5951396 8039817 9074894 924785 4601315 2980726 6521541 3315018 9524403 8342694 6499673 6248693 5495622 5120652 7105926 3370267 4040541 4988077 4417242 1074737 4703677 997658 7840112 4638948 2571461 9570651 1959911 6823322 8147350 4265833 7217137 660352 8180766 4267594 4280440 650366 8527933 3096866 9428259 9090348 2655741 5483849 816171 6745742 1867273 2890148 7938997 9579387 5856220 636490 9170872 5776939 4673830 2115297 4686221 9761260 5702837 8050411 4634288 2440147 1741452 1276007 4902942 9378181 8776874 9993113 5309399 1146554 4560846 4999659 7568594 2526627 1555034 8820805 2881833 9830518 368213 7253808 1483688 8025058 2259149 6258055 9001430 1887385 1807699 9683988 6964399 7916850 3343043 5799862 7299292 6222081 7228773 3080618 3174857 4085088 4594317 8239499 1019211 5444019 1604092 1964999 1068264 3000365 6865519 322119 6280136 2168321 8066750 |
