#gas President Biden - 2022-07-26 gas prices #price #month #tweeted - AAinnonna - 07-27-2022 President Biden continued to brag about gas prices falling by a small amount on Twitter Monday morning, to the mockery of users. "For American families looking for a little more breathing room, these savings matter," Biden’s presidential account tweeted. The tweet also included a graphic informing followers that "At current prices, the average driver will spend $35 less per month for one peson [sic]" or "$70 less per month for a family with two cars than they would if gas prices stayed at their peak." Washington Examiner and Daily Signal contributor Nicole Russell tweeted, "But I thought you had nothing to do with gas prices?" Louisiana Sen. Bill Cassidy wrote, "In other words, Americans are paying over $100 more a month per ‘peson’ to fill up their gas tanks than when Biden took office." Washington Examiner reporter Andrew Kerr noted, "The figures in Biden's tweet this morning assume the average ‘peson’ is consuming 50 gallons of gas a month per vehicle. 2 cars = 100 gallons of gas = $70 in ‘savings’ a month for the average American family, according to Biden's methodology." "Now do prices compared to a year ago, snake oil salesman," Lone Conservative founder Kassy Dillon tweeted. Biden had previously suggested that rising gas prices and inflation rates were caused by a "Putin Price Hike" due to the war in Ukraine. Since prices have fallen after their peak in June while the war rages on, the administration has started taken credit for the average price for a gallon of gas falling below $5. However, most states continue to pay more than $4 a gallon for gas, with the average price as of Monday at $4.36. When Biden took office on January 20, 2021, the average cost was $2.39 a gallon. Many users also called out the blatant typo in the graphic, using "peson" instead of "person" in an official government tweet. BIDEN MUST ‘STOP THE FALL IN GASOLINE PRICES,’ SET $5 GALLON MINIMUM TO COMBAT CLIMATE CHANGE: BLOOMBERG OP-ED "For one 'peson'? That's great. I hate paying too much for a peson! Peson inflation is a bane on the nation's economy!" Washington Times reporter Mike Glenn tweeted. Townhall.com editor Rebecca Downs wrote, "Who spellchecked this…? What is a ‘peson?’" "How many people were involved in planning, designing, editing and sending this poster? Minimum of five, probably a lot more. Yet it still went out with a glaring typo. Tells you a lot about how this White House is staffed and run," tweeted Hans Mahncke, co-host of "Truth Over News" on EpochTV. 5204679 3947566 1772275 7475459 1541769 5298217 2204963 4742087 6930933 5262357 5724888 3957170 6649199 9950144 9056034 7085762 9757761 8353012 3046461 5344028 4733745 2349486 2085807 3175460 3734696 9926878 9594359 2553771 8483110 6466492 3793060 8699421 3228027 1414181 466926 809798 2749345 207801 1961800 3881685 5890201 3788369 4114123 248794 7569191 543709 5338671 1892462 4748328 8021955 4594479 7149949 4324627 4276461 7445568 7895650 3417327 1157831 1939482 5793556 5012515 4425156 8510796 8717948 4441070 8003861 650946 936757 4652234 2236126 5528762 3138466 758175 8466281 6322485 920892 6810187 4819921 442669 2806586 289113 491924 388408 1403771 2254517 8414885 6452400 3788094 3653532 8641488 2987833 9712444 728917 7272890 2453180 8730688 5010007 8297177 3968439 9827553 5857769 8169438 5586106 9658855 6019328 5478046 2003223 7983738 3174811 543703 1929443 1390351 2935784 2293065 1836893 8902744 1270912 2255162 5300681 5576500 6819758 8014103 9657479 2650354 6074272 976828 4196030 5377417 6881642 5778849 6595368 2112690 8254168 1201742 6844003 748838 6942632 4909214 338667 1106339 3746016 6881625 4393100 4360540 5026840 8864117 4881547 3105626 7402195 9689900 2216929 8143027 6074723 8814410 8398900 600381 9774197 2906866 9348965 453590 7784499 2839968 9238440 5073073 7011646 929249 6044756 3865083 9575999 753373 |
