#gallon President Biden - 2022-07-26 gas prices #price #graphic #price - AAinnonna - 07-27-2022 President Biden continued to brag about gas prices falling by a small amount on Twitter Monday morning, to the mockery of users. "For American families looking for a little more breathing room, these savings matter," Biden’s presidential account tweeted. The tweet also included a graphic informing followers that "At current prices, the average driver will spend $35 less per month for one peson [sic]" or "$70 less per month for a family with two cars than they would if gas prices stayed at their peak." Washington Examiner and Daily Signal contributor Nicole Russell tweeted, "But I thought you had nothing to do with gas prices?" Louisiana Sen. Bill Cassidy wrote, "In other words, Americans are paying over $100 more a month per ‘peson’ to fill up their gas tanks than when Biden took office." Washington Examiner reporter Andrew Kerr noted, "The figures in Biden's tweet this morning assume the average ‘peson’ is consuming 50 gallons of gas a month per vehicle. 2 cars = 100 gallons of gas = $70 in ‘savings’ a month for the average American family, according to Biden's methodology." "Now do prices compared to a year ago, snake oil salesman," Lone Conservative founder Kassy Dillon tweeted. Biden had previously suggested that rising gas prices and inflation rates were caused by a "Putin Price Hike" due to the war in Ukraine. Since prices have fallen after their peak in June while the war rages on, the administration has started taken credit for the average price for a gallon of gas falling below $5. However, most states continue to pay more than $4 a gallon for gas, with the average price as of Monday at $4.36. When Biden took office on January 20, 2021, the average cost was $2.39 a gallon. Many users also called out the blatant typo in the graphic, using "peson" instead of "person" in an official government tweet. BIDEN MUST ‘STOP THE FALL IN GASOLINE PRICES,’ SET $5 GALLON MINIMUM TO COMBAT CLIMATE CHANGE: BLOOMBERG OP-ED "For one 'peson'? That's great. I hate paying too much for a peson! Peson inflation is a bane on the nation's economy!" Washington Times reporter Mike Glenn tweeted. Townhall.com editor Rebecca Downs wrote, "Who spellchecked this…? What is a ‘peson?’" "How many people were involved in planning, designing, editing and sending this poster? Minimum of five, probably a lot more. Yet it still went out with a glaring typo. Tells you a lot about how this White House is staffed and run," tweeted Hans Mahncke, co-host of "Truth Over News" on EpochTV. 2537948 4259537 9601820 5653013 3421395 6496144 8856430 7149777 1392978 613298 9868232 11492 2975656 6275570 3713692 822189 4641662 1057060 1811599 1993053 2493435 3217237 1727033 135128 1016920 9854170 9775664 8466996 2003089 5879974 7784652 9980990 7227693 1791879 3838348 570118 986775 718742 9370070 3847582 1071839 7699187 7436510 1883842 9297199 6668416 9507681 8554794 5157300 3111553 638419 4750993 8704862 2866655 5339355 7136492 1267088 38045 9020587 4705573 5060229 9484767 2322077 9828715 5331419 1868695 8190109 3031065 1089725 1702112 4053298 3196431 3040341 1402058 3912467 7443955 9812207 6785156 7720659 7373261 6067954 1995211 7875949 905787 8587046 4313406 5176090 1440873 8932670 1842839 9081546 8549325 3774905 9509988 9632063 6915793 6475740 1378757 851665 2747690 6033454 9713556 7991107 9379208 1965826 3803199 3464339 6286494 6238018 3963733 8789698 8217537 5829606 8735863 2421800 3682284 2021592 5715654 5776529 4494864 5010651 8993613 2331213 609537 4942015 8683607 7108481 6948377 2945450 491725 6418673 1461742 8278519 5803766 178751 6112324 171033 5268670 1667570 5035478 5447648 1322696 2060464 6560535 5554193 7645554 9574673 8338579 9044115 6012726 5586889 7279692 8150083 3497982 2546135 8523519 514359 5515309 1048237 165588 9679074 2658142 5897881 2945997 441706 1801260 3512855 6640155 7634101 4444862 |
