#washington President Biden - 2022-07-26 gas prices #graphic #price #graphic - Aale#skeriut - 07-27-2022 President Biden continued to brag about gas prices falling by a small amount on Twitter Monday morning, to the mockery of users. "For American families looking for a little more breathing room, these savings matter," Biden’s presidential account tweeted. The tweet also included a graphic informing followers that "At current prices, the average driver will spend $35 less per month for one peson [sic]" or "$70 less per month for a family with two cars than they would if gas prices stayed at their peak." Washington Examiner and Daily Signal contributor Nicole Russell tweeted, "But I thought you had nothing to do with gas prices?" Louisiana Sen. Bill Cassidy wrote, "In other words, Americans are paying over $100 more a month per ‘peson’ to fill up their gas tanks than when Biden took office." Washington Examiner reporter Andrew Kerr noted, "The figures in Biden's tweet this morning assume the average ‘peson’ is consuming 50 gallons of gas a month per vehicle. 2 cars = 100 gallons of gas = $70 in ‘savings’ a month for the average American family, according to Biden's methodology." "Now do prices compared to a year ago, snake oil salesman," Lone Conservative founder Kassy Dillon tweeted. Biden had previously suggested that rising gas prices and inflation rates were caused by a "Putin Price Hike" due to the war in Ukraine. Since prices have fallen after their peak in June while the war rages on, the administration has started taken credit for the average price for a gallon of gas falling below $5. However, most states continue to pay more than $4 a gallon for gas, with the average price as of Monday at $4.36. When Biden took office on January 20, 2021, the average cost was $2.39 a gallon. Many users also called out the blatant typo in the graphic, using "peson" instead of "person" in an official government tweet. BIDEN MUST ‘STOP THE FALL IN GASOLINE PRICES,’ SET $5 GALLON MINIMUM TO COMBAT CLIMATE CHANGE: BLOOMBERG OP-ED "For one 'peson'? That's great. I hate paying too much for a peson! Peson inflation is a bane on the nation's economy!" Washington Times reporter Mike Glenn tweeted. Townhall.com editor Rebecca Downs wrote, "Who spellchecked this…? What is a ‘peson?’" "How many people were involved in planning, designing, editing and sending this poster? Minimum of five, probably a lot more. Yet it still went out with a glaring typo. Tells you a lot about how this White House is staffed and run," tweeted Hans Mahncke, co-host of "Truth Over News" on EpochTV. 9400154 4434272 9152643 6179016 9348078 2298673 9594312 6482315 3790233 1386678 715194 6880130 1754095 988714 7204038 9528419 5014110 2446107 5612129 3878291 1853982 9833986 7134003 7496057 5560318 4328757 8810995 8935174 3131337 9590852 9854490 6232338 2148486 8033186 2317742 7136339 6298573 286602 7827024 9661368 2505932 2728822 4608159 4053963 5138328 418764 1498695 9765830 5272237 5263291 8192290 3542275 5466206 1784344 3422794 7190165 3026257 5305232 5295178 6155698 7222608 9924546 509095 2472014 8435554 6101490 1663920 8191927 9686999 203875 4389360 7896369 3539384 866452 8502165 1359932 9817936 9499165 9918037 9980212 2144100 4790215 2533135 3069565 3717745 3538539 1792624 2574306 5355441 2681119 4174543 7354977 1220748 9835858 9293677 592136 231024 2221548 3855365 6415198 3610582 6277320 9166697 4369337 1553047 2858110 6444501 2780749 4459949 5311319 6609222 4643616 6735642 312849 3812420 2107417 3593907 3778247 4395353 8157367 3851328 6717728 5511340 6594950 4180037 8356876 122157 3891898 2779894 6381266 7587289 9030690 2944379 6641798 1579046 9917693 9488599 7169542 9511820 7455914 3509785 3838560 246823 882934 3437026 7521586 9241148 459319 2862274 5089852 2915256 6108076 8096594 9084686 6399397 3093232 939807 3426063 1432536 8327561 4612491 4977417 3587043 3421398 3346829 3336878 573278 3038697 8572490 3673701 |
