#average President Biden - 2022-07-26 gas prices #biden #gas #washington - AAinnonna - 07-27-2022 President Biden continued to brag about gas prices falling by a small amount on Twitter Monday morning, to the mockery of users. "For American families looking for a little more breathing room, these savings matter," Biden’s presidential account tweeted. The tweet also included a graphic informing followers that "At current prices, the average driver will spend $35 less per month for one peson [sic]" or "$70 less per month for a family with two cars than they would if gas prices stayed at their peak." Washington Examiner and Daily Signal contributor Nicole Russell tweeted, "But I thought you had nothing to do with gas prices?" Louisiana Sen. Bill Cassidy wrote, "In other words, Americans are paying over $100 more a month per ‘peson’ to fill up their gas tanks than when Biden took office." Washington Examiner reporter Andrew Kerr noted, "The figures in Biden's tweet this morning assume the average ‘peson’ is consuming 50 gallons of gas a month per vehicle. 2 cars = 100 gallons of gas = $70 in ‘savings’ a month for the average American family, according to Biden's methodology." "Now do prices compared to a year ago, snake oil salesman," Lone Conservative founder Kassy Dillon tweeted. Biden had previously suggested that rising gas prices and inflation rates were caused by a "Putin Price Hike" due to the war in Ukraine. Since prices have fallen after their peak in June while the war rages on, the administration has started taken credit for the average price for a gallon of gas falling below $5. However, most states continue to pay more than $4 a gallon for gas, with the average price as of Monday at $4.36. When Biden took office on January 20, 2021, the average cost was $2.39 a gallon. Many users also called out the blatant typo in the graphic, using "peson" instead of "person" in an official government tweet. BIDEN MUST ‘STOP THE FALL IN GASOLINE PRICES,’ SET $5 GALLON MINIMUM TO COMBAT CLIMATE CHANGE: BLOOMBERG OP-ED "For one 'peson'? That's great. I hate paying too much for a peson! Peson inflation is a bane on the nation's economy!" Washington Times reporter Mike Glenn tweeted. Townhall.com editor Rebecca Downs wrote, "Who spellchecked this…? What is a ‘peson?’" "How many people were involved in planning, designing, editing and sending this poster? Minimum of five, probably a lot more. Yet it still went out with a glaring typo. Tells you a lot about how this White House is staffed and run," tweeted Hans Mahncke, co-host of "Truth Over News" on EpochTV. 1300640 8433815 8877240 6996705 9770547 373978 8754589 8567494 4943818 4809155 3705596 6740936 718271 7231423 8649178 961279 6020391 8310802 4601503 2115477 1882461 3645438 9282768 4984371 551595 3712384 8764808 5815812 245134 1997974 9974417 4245218 1627692 1764259 6419203 1281033 4612666 4431033 1963635 7572240 6579588 5037153 9315 8682602 5600704 2749018 7917714 6577145 4770932 6887117 9024382 9053872 6236238 1443523 7076766 1335665 6012934 3544026 455206 6529267 3190150 3847211 6007577 4195729 9610764 9324738 4855471 8717558 8630258 1412353 4994062 1715284 4031567 4978671 8052996 5200342 2707064 6109570 48762 4715328 7192951 9144711 8467585 4149071 6651101 5960117 547599 6468150 7387517 2949433 62139 7073950 6511873 3683932 2494568 9003002 4821216 7713309 913701 1695821 7507287 8477898 7406358 7541418 3782190 5799349 7417765 2937706 9006900 922078 6825791 3054418 5434535 4570836 4111399 2051548 137880 999509 2456301 2946021 1237005 3484828 9117417 3860172 6010330 9255080 1924128 9863084 6982200 4305863 5226258 2131114 4582005 1073509 167103 8630350 7470678 4446550 6587787 3070099 4130162 4073093 6443362 1305141 1798896 3431686 1041930 6944186 1361693 8642988 6972221 361716 9276516 2488153 8061448 7827880 141504 1591814 3191644 3046 5976431 7259453 2334653 1473359 849174 2920918 5645636 5591140 1894153 3648241 |
