#gas President Biden - 2022-07-26 gas prices #wrote #gas #month - Aaaazcccz - 07-27-2022 President Biden continued to brag about gas prices falling by a small amount on Twitter Monday morning, to the mockery of users. "For American families looking for a little more breathing room, these savings matter," Biden’s presidential account tweeted. The tweet also included a graphic informing followers that "At current prices, the average driver will spend $35 less per month for one peson [sic]" or "$70 less per month for a family with two cars than they would if gas prices stayed at their peak." Washington Examiner and Daily Signal contributor Nicole Russell tweeted, "But I thought you had nothing to do with gas prices?" Louisiana Sen. Bill Cassidy wrote, "In other words, Americans are paying over $100 more a month per ‘peson’ to fill up their gas tanks than when Biden took office." Washington Examiner reporter Andrew Kerr noted, "The figures in Biden's tweet this morning assume the average ‘peson’ is consuming 50 gallons of gas a month per vehicle. 2 cars = 100 gallons of gas = $70 in ‘savings’ a month for the average American family, according to Biden's methodology." "Now do prices compared to a year ago, snake oil salesman," Lone Conservative founder Kassy Dillon tweeted. Biden had previously suggested that rising gas prices and inflation rates were caused by a "Putin Price Hike" due to the war in Ukraine. Since prices have fallen after their peak in June while the war rages on, the administration has started taken credit for the average price for a gallon of gas falling below $5. However, most states continue to pay more than $4 a gallon for gas, with the average price as of Monday at $4.36. When Biden took office on January 20, 2021, the average cost was $2.39 a gallon. Many users also called out the blatant typo in the graphic, using "peson" instead of "person" in an official government tweet. BIDEN MUST ‘STOP THE FALL IN GASOLINE PRICES,’ SET $5 GALLON MINIMUM TO COMBAT CLIMATE CHANGE: BLOOMBERG OP-ED "For one 'peson'? That's great. I hate paying too much for a peson! Peson inflation is a bane on the nation's economy!" Washington Times reporter Mike Glenn tweeted. Townhall.com editor Rebecca Downs wrote, "Who spellchecked this…? What is a ‘peson?’" "How many people were involved in planning, designing, editing and sending this poster? Minimum of five, probably a lot more. Yet it still went out with a glaring typo. Tells you a lot about how this White House is staffed and run," tweeted Hans Mahncke, co-host of "Truth Over News" on EpochTV. 7146250 2110349 4118261 699893 1750820 7438786 9095859 1191173 1888093 4917263 2389717 6883543 5073927 7373723 1902011 3586026 9278878 6826233 6046457 2503265 3724512 2831278 7379003 7775149 3434621 9633230 223321 3984905 3648855 2588152 4632379 5349805 2676021 6808121 1541520 831637 4290663 3530886 6431544 1862719 3266291 2144945 1376660 1927421 133868 8368740 7789700 9699960 3763923 1540169 4741133 9973428 2868131 6475663 161480 9081376 3711 7895596 4798674 4048580 4185945 7851365 1263861 7175109 700488 9147041 2998842 286395 9196892 215924 531438 5347339 3682234 9413216 4839204 689271 474604 9217947 186084 4532772 2744786 3275924 1254131 61308 2717553 1785146 1937642 8730348 5130363 3179366 5622395 1065234 8050312 2576246 9307887 6626381 9635465 9960758 6409157 7406746 1938649 3580871 5582197 1337341 5341487 6503374 5423431 5145192 9727324 6829647 7377817 8281189 966924 4508700 1706596 2122774 3818371 236722 3849831 1179470 4850063 4403229 1043054 5525642 1453204 6559179 1510407 6167946 5556609 8364359 1098603 7569071 3137422 5495527 4680182 4053557 3106682 6474272 2180959 9303419 1682780 8892193 1564030 677691 831192 5994029 3626879 2549719 1872968 9089107 5945648 5414668 7852030 3768978 5813651 9953829 758770 382156 4517628 7795432 2191641 1754374 7796078 3179109 8573711 3610298 9824791 2250898 4495293 5667868 |
