#average President Biden - 2022-07-26 gas prices #tweeted #washington #gas - AAinnonna - 07-27-2022 President Biden continued to brag about gas prices falling by a small amount on Twitter Monday morning, to the mockery of users. "For American families looking for a little more breathing room, these savings matter," Biden’s presidential account tweeted. The tweet also included a graphic informing followers that "At current prices, the average driver will spend $35 less per month for one peson [sic]" or "$70 less per month for a family with two cars than they would if gas prices stayed at their peak." Washington Examiner and Daily Signal contributor Nicole Russell tweeted, "But I thought you had nothing to do with gas prices?" Louisiana Sen. Bill Cassidy wrote, "In other words, Americans are paying over $100 more a month per ‘peson’ to fill up their gas tanks than when Biden took office." Washington Examiner reporter Andrew Kerr noted, "The figures in Biden's tweet this morning assume the average ‘peson’ is consuming 50 gallons of gas a month per vehicle. 2 cars = 100 gallons of gas = $70 in ‘savings’ a month for the average American family, according to Biden's methodology." "Now do prices compared to a year ago, snake oil salesman," Lone Conservative founder Kassy Dillon tweeted. Biden had previously suggested that rising gas prices and inflation rates were caused by a "Putin Price Hike" due to the war in Ukraine. Since prices have fallen after their peak in June while the war rages on, the administration has started taken credit for the average price for a gallon of gas falling below $5. However, most states continue to pay more than $4 a gallon for gas, with the average price as of Monday at $4.36. When Biden took office on January 20, 2021, the average cost was $2.39 a gallon. Many users also called out the blatant typo in the graphic, using "peson" instead of "person" in an official government tweet. BIDEN MUST ‘STOP THE FALL IN GASOLINE PRICES,’ SET $5 GALLON MINIMUM TO COMBAT CLIMATE CHANGE: BLOOMBERG OP-ED "For one 'peson'? That's great. I hate paying too much for a peson! Peson inflation is a bane on the nation's economy!" Washington Times reporter Mike Glenn tweeted. Townhall.com editor Rebecca Downs wrote, "Who spellchecked this…? What is a ‘peson?’" "How many people were involved in planning, designing, editing and sending this poster? Minimum of five, probably a lot more. Yet it still went out with a glaring typo. Tells you a lot about how this White House is staffed and run," tweeted Hans Mahncke, co-host of "Truth Over News" on EpochTV. 5940823 8705652 3828522 8454618 1821954 8115446 860471 3284031 3099023 4063518 7888055 2289370 4502561 8272023 1399834 4743707 4114053 7230365 1740767 9421857 8499033 4733800 211992 1935159 8751620 8969225 8862043 5584585 4160706 7737047 964045 5597073 2724429 7894430 2618698 9059653 231476 7628276 8488124 5421280 2120837 2640450 7097623 4886392 4848010 9840825 3686525 4560640 5968721 4653444 1081291 4678942 4663154 504146 1552603 9766855 6917878 1613289 5127931 2080415 2087891 2668026 2328545 7154883 47649 1471658 1795232 3833665 664060 3166185 5781128 3585057 9797515 7122803 8972042 6483093 8560061 91467 8604349 3677359 5035126 1698157 6351379 8697499 196214 901521 4946713 2448954 2228438 4478090 5012544 9219527 5980877 1151630 62057 3573885 6760820 7441928 141217 440597 194006 3848033 7087253 3271578 2365826 2432906 6865323 7595772 6971464 9429506 6949008 9816393 8679394 8948044 9225541 3597435 4436773 6373872 1385315 8678217 6931693 2564073 2260473 9473351 6938065 2425002 9098224 3279656 3748632 3970508 7219800 451321 5425805 6450301 5037933 1384263 3088568 8645432 9910972 7647101 5944605 924230 2795976 7109145 6300896 7146212 2159449 5401138 6256918 5026769 138618 8563057 310953 6025140 6395808 4217466 588601 8381244 7656019 1105534 3923470 9374454 3378624 9342522 2497470 5405980 544932 6231515 2263449 996288 |
