#wrote President Biden - 2022-07-26 gas prices #prices #graphic #tweet - Aale#skeriut - 07-26-2022 President Biden continued to brag about gas prices falling by a small amount on Twitter Monday morning, to the mockery of users. "For American families looking for a little more breathing room, these savings matter," Biden’s presidential account tweeted. The tweet also included a graphic informing followers that "At current prices, the average driver will spend $35 less per month for one peson [sic]" or "$70 less per month for a family with two cars than they would if gas prices stayed at their peak." Washington Examiner and Daily Signal contributor Nicole Russell tweeted, "But I thought you had nothing to do with gas prices?" Louisiana Sen. Bill Cassidy wrote, "In other words, Americans are paying over $100 more a month per ‘peson’ to fill up their gas tanks than when Biden took office." Washington Examiner reporter Andrew Kerr noted, "The figures in Biden's tweet this morning assume the average ‘peson’ is consuming 50 gallons of gas a month per vehicle. 2 cars = 100 gallons of gas = $70 in ‘savings’ a month for the average American family, according to Biden's methodology." "Now do prices compared to a year ago, snake oil salesman," Lone Conservative founder Kassy Dillon tweeted. Biden had previously suggested that rising gas prices and inflation rates were caused by a "Putin Price Hike" due to the war in Ukraine. Since prices have fallen after their peak in June while the war rages on, the administration has started taken credit for the average price for a gallon of gas falling below $5. However, most states continue to pay more than $4 a gallon for gas, with the average price as of Monday at $4.36. When Biden took office on January 20, 2021, the average cost was $2.39 a gallon. Many users also called out the blatant typo in the graphic, using "peson" instead of "person" in an official government tweet. BIDEN MUST ‘STOP THE FALL IN GASOLINE PRICES,’ SET $5 GALLON MINIMUM TO COMBAT CLIMATE CHANGE: BLOOMBERG OP-ED "For one 'peson'? That's great. I hate paying too much for a peson! Peson inflation is a bane on the nation's economy!" Washington Times reporter Mike Glenn tweeted. Townhall.com editor Rebecca Downs wrote, "Who spellchecked this…? What is a ‘peson?’" "How many people were involved in planning, designing, editing and sending this poster? Minimum of five, probably a lot more. Yet it still went out with a glaring typo. Tells you a lot about how this White House is staffed and run," tweeted Hans Mahncke, co-host of "Truth Over News" on EpochTV. 2004435 3747786 6321931 638909 2744576 4910806 1508933 3727224 5482858 2648818 8262923 7039240 5783060 3066144 6054060 129851 9984930 8223709 4481483 4969824 5316763 8561150 4758922 235824 5673392 3684907 3041347 4811265 3547190 3871355 7314577 9126345 1061607 7129289 2073883 5403089 5588727 9159142 7494053 412116 7917581 6057157 2335291 6835293 3435272 2106874 2271314 1829295 9294860 7503385 7890117 3867046 3047065 3356615 9065442 1480379 680299 3802944 4922205 9966988 4567734 7592012 1118907 4683364 4269824 3974128 8663073 1987340 5663763 235657 983279 1455817 6377727 733947 8456615 5447405 7988620 9767490 2149021 4616121 7958394 3131209 939003 461982 6773758 5685356 8787176 8518521 8260473 4811775 1346029 8274726 3542045 2067720 3624025 8406446 1604566 7902617 2951202 8435312 1948069 6778527 3930959 392980 7282258 2525815 4621283 6584881 6743099 6293107 5651786 2064042 2590899 1931374 6500356 2877509 5866919 6142900 5646346 3714268 8976374 3263299 3819110 1022178 5658754 6992333 2061572 198948 1320530 3944495 8825998 7950775 9199527 6337852 2826632 3413104 333249 3688262 851376 4114369 7777647 5831323 2276623 5401058 8086961 2135277 4482414 4394403 5476122 4230035 5895919 2084263 6669131 2114949 5880984 9651054 6888768 5969970 3192273 7615182 9953855 8532262 7211210 8890956 7961070 5366774 8688360 9362752 8510323 2882325 |
