#tweeted President Biden - 2022-07-26 gas prices #washington #biden #graphic - Aaaazcccz - 07-26-2022 President Biden continued to brag about gas prices falling by a small amount on Twitter Monday morning, to the mockery of users. "For American families looking for a little more breathing room, these savings matter," Biden’s presidential account tweeted. The tweet also included a graphic informing followers that "At current prices, the average driver will spend $35 less per month for one peson [sic]" or "$70 less per month for a family with two cars than they would if gas prices stayed at their peak." Washington Examiner and Daily Signal contributor Nicole Russell tweeted, "But I thought you had nothing to do with gas prices?" Louisiana Sen. Bill Cassidy wrote, "In other words, Americans are paying over $100 more a month per ‘peson’ to fill up their gas tanks than when Biden took office." Washington Examiner reporter Andrew Kerr noted, "The figures in Biden's tweet this morning assume the average ‘peson’ is consuming 50 gallons of gas a month per vehicle. 2 cars = 100 gallons of gas = $70 in ‘savings’ a month for the average American family, according to Biden's methodology." "Now do prices compared to a year ago, snake oil salesman," Lone Conservative founder Kassy Dillon tweeted. Biden had previously suggested that rising gas prices and inflation rates were caused by a "Putin Price Hike" due to the war in Ukraine. Since prices have fallen after their peak in June while the war rages on, the administration has started taken credit for the average price for a gallon of gas falling below $5. However, most states continue to pay more than $4 a gallon for gas, with the average price as of Monday at $4.36. When Biden took office on January 20, 2021, the average cost was $2.39 a gallon. Many users also called out the blatant typo in the graphic, using "peson" instead of "person" in an official government tweet. BIDEN MUST ‘STOP THE FALL IN GASOLINE PRICES,’ SET $5 GALLON MINIMUM TO COMBAT CLIMATE CHANGE: BLOOMBERG OP-ED "For one 'peson'? That's great. I hate paying too much for a peson! Peson inflation is a bane on the nation's economy!" Washington Times reporter Mike Glenn tweeted. Townhall.com editor Rebecca Downs wrote, "Who spellchecked this…? What is a ‘peson?’" "How many people were involved in planning, designing, editing and sending this poster? Minimum of five, probably a lot more. Yet it still went out with a glaring typo. Tells you a lot about how this White House is staffed and run," tweeted Hans Mahncke, co-host of "Truth Over News" on EpochTV. 2628643 9230591 5671281 2656453 2242144 9699972 8261300 7985203 6587945 8982080 7688234 6521722 7871412 6368545 9254463 6506021 3427846 6685696 5354449 8702479 8559793 1365397 5190055 6867928 8258114 3894592 6416161 7836705 7007848 5752210 9174130 3573926 8416334 1410662 5489353 29093 8872967 3504438 9494330 145181 1959725 1764732 6459605 860319 2830170 1798694 1081240 6445537 4285497 2322800 8011050 3028473 8750353 1933948 96603 1634853 2881977 9014974 2278867 9607076 4017068 874324 1652866 2735602 194932 694902 6623091 2935261 7950736 3415718 650708 8838290 4624672 4111913 8537083 9122321 4375843 4980678 5742332 925693 9649455 9525859 3670644 8194412 2297793 5034881 6424964 7314805 1070783 6933560 6981123 9847856 4714968 1130765 3252341 4742049 2379450 2922399 7015841 4841260 5552659 3573868 1175294 5052860 8259026 8152184 3310275 2003122 4719992 719651 6006987 7531204 6204549 5464157 6915349 871590 1294276 4886367 4015024 6847912 6265314 8604942 4053812 9954154 4828339 8902860 4631551 6633390 8919535 1588746 2892386 619486 4787519 3274619 6296891 8678039 1070885 8670058 3447452 6598100 8104089 3973667 5423396 7757048 164688 4959046 612061 9131840 4864654 862256 8483946 2078452 6439317 7641891 306480 7727729 2114999 6730390 7229545 9355566 3297246 7843829 8756729 6546205 5795683 6969381 7026017 8512679 5795759 3106007 |
