п»їMLB playoffs series prices: Betting odds for all 8 Wild Card Series matchups.
After what should go down as the most unusual regular season in Major League Baseball history, the league will now follow with what will probably be the most unusual postseason in history.
But in any case, now that Sunday’s games have gone final, we now know the matchups for the new-for-2020 Wild Card Series round.
As a refresher, 16 teams — eight per league — have made the postseason this year, and they’ll begin with a round of best-of-3 series. The matchups are that of a standard bracket (1 vs. 8, 2 vs. 7, and so on), and each game will be played in the higher-seeded team’s home stadium.
Below are the matchups, along with opening odds from PointsBet.
Be sure to follow along with our MLB coverage in the coming days, as we’ll be releasing our own projections for these series, as well as World Series probabilities, futures with value and, of course, daily betting breakdowns once we these games get underway.

MLB Postseason Playoffs.
The MLB Postseason is an exciting time of year, just as the seasons change, the competition gets a little more fierce as teams battle to earn a spot in the playoffs. Naturally, sportsbooks will offer a great selection of MLB Postseason odds, where sports bettors can get some great value betting on their favorite teams.
Congratulations to the Los Angeles Dodgers on winning the 2020 World Series , taking the series 3-1 against the Tampa Bay Rays!
The odds to win the MLB World Series are now available . The odds to win the World Series are likely to adjust and as they do we'll be sure to update this page. The odds were last updated on November 20, 2020.
Each year, the MLB Postseason provides sports bettors some great opportunities to bet on elite-level games, ultimately providing added challenges to sports bettor’s strategies due to the high level and close competition. The MLB postseason follows each MLB regular season and consists of a one-game wild-card playoff between wild card teams from each division, followed by four best of five elimination series in each division. The final step in the MLB Postseason playoff includes League Championship Series for each the American League and National League - where the winners go to the World Series.
This year, the MLB season did not begin until July 23rd, 2020, and will be a short season of 60 games per team - meaning the stakes are already quite high for teams eager to make it to the postseason. There will also be some pretty drastic changes to the postseason format this year - which will be a shock to most baseball fans and sports bettors.
How Do the MLB Playoffs Work?
Sixteen teams will advance to the postseason , well beyond the usual ten teams - eight from each league respectively. Four rounds will be played as per usual, but instead of a round featuring a sudden-death Wild Card Game the format will be as follows:
Wild Card Series (best-of-three, with all games at the higher seed’s home ballpark): No. 1 seed vs. No. 8; No. 2 vs. No. 7; No. 3 vs. No. 6; No. 4 vs. No. 5.
Division Series (best-of-five, with traditional 2-2-1 home/road format): Winner of 1-8 vs. Winner of 4-5; Winner of 2-7 vs. Winner of 3-6. Home-field advantage goes to the higher seed.
League Championship Series (best-of-seven, with traditional 2-3-2 home/road format): Winner of 1-4-5-8 vs. Winner of 2-3-6-7. Home-field advantage goes to the higher seed.
World Series (best-of-seven, with traditional 2-3-2 home/road format): AL champion vs. NL champion. The home-field advantage goes to the team with the superior regular-season record.
This format is for 2020 only, it will not be carried into future seasons unless the MLB decides to keep any formatting - but as of now, there is no plan to retain this formatting.
The MLB Postseason is set to begin on Tuesday, September 29th, 2020 , and the schedule will be released in early to mid-September.

Betting Options During the MLB Postseason.
MLB Postseason Moneyline Betting.
It’s safe to say that the moneyline is the most popular betting type in any sport, and betting the moneyline during the MLB Postseason can prove to be a bit more risky, but all the more exciting! If you decide to bet the moneyline, all you have to do is to choose which team you think will win the game. There will be moneyline odds on all games in the playoffs, so you can place a moneyline wager on any or all of the MLB Postseason games.
MLB Postseason Runline Betting.
While runlines or point spreads are a little more complex, betting the runline during the MLB Postseason can prove to be a smarter option if you aren’t doing well with your moneyline bets. If you’re looking at a game with a first place seed against an 8th place seed, you will see obvious underdogs and the runline may seem high, so you could get some good value betting on the underdog. This also leaves huge opportunities for upsets, which as you know, will pay out handsomely.
MLB Postseason Totals Betting.
Totals aren’t as popular when it comes to betting on the MLB Postseason playoffs because most bettors want to predict the winner of the matchup for fun, and to prove they can predict a winner. For the totals, or over/under as it’s commonly called, you will need to decide if the total combined runs for both teams in a single game will be over or under the oddsmaker’s line. If the total is 11, you will need to decide if you think both teams will score more or less than that amount collectively.
MLB Postseason Prop Betting.
Proposition bets in the MLB allows for us to make some extra cash on random and unique happenings during the playoff tournament. Sportsbooks will have plenty of fun MLB Postseason props to bet on during the tournament, and many are already active right now.
MLB Postseason Prop bets allow you to bet certain instances or happenings that don’t affect the outcome of the games. You can bet on player props, which is most common - like if a certain player will hit a home run or grand slam. Or, things like how many games a certain team will win the series in, like “Astros in 3”.

By the time you get to the bottom of the page, you should have a solid understanding of how to bet on the 2017 MLB playoffs.
2017 World Series Odds.
Odds To Win The Pennant.
Odds To Win The 2017 NL Pennant.
As expected, the Dodgers are taking care of business against the Cubs, and they go to Chicago up 2-0 in the NLDS. With -150 odds to win the NL Pennant when the series started, the Dodgers are now even bigger favorites. But if the 2016 postseason taught us anything, it’s that miracles can still happen. Maybe the Cubs turn it around at Wrigley and get back in the race? Or maybe the payout on a Cubs NLCS title is only going to get bigger.
Odds To Win The 2017 AL Pennant.
So much for Cinderella – the Yankees are going to need more than a storybook ending to pull off the ALCS upset against the surging Astros. Like the Dodgers one league over, the Astros were heavy favorites going into the series and are even heavier ones now that they have a 2-0 lead on New York. Still, if you think the Yankees have a prayer, now’s the time to bet on them. After all, if they win Game 3, their potential series payout will shrink considerably. (At least for a game or two.)
MLB Playoff Betting FAQ's.
Is Betting On The MLB Playoffs Legal?
Betting on the MLB playoffs is legal when you use trusted baseball sports betting sites. The key is to use a site that is based offshore and licensed to accept American bettors. There are no US-licensed sports betting sites due to certain laws like the UIGEA and the Wire Act, and if you come across one this should be a red flag. Never use a local bookie, and do not put money into a site that is not reputable. There are no federal laws that make it illegal to bet on the MLB playoffs at a legitimate offshore sports betting site, so as long as you use a trustworthy site you are completely in the clear.

What Is The Best Deposit Method For US Bettors At Online Baseball Betting Sites?
The best deposit method for US bettors at online baseball betting sites is bitcoin. Bitcoin is the digital currency that has become the #1 banking method for online sports betting. You can send coins from your bitcoin wallet to that of the online sportsbook. There are no credit card numbers to enter, or bank account information to provide. Transactions are 100% guaranteed, unlike credit cards which are convenient but can be declined. Bitcoin deposits at online baseball sportsbooks are instant and carry no sportsbook deposit fees. To get started with placing your wagers on MLB playoff betting odds quickly, use bitcoin to make your online sportsbook deposit.
What Is A Deposit Bonus?
A deposit bonus is bonus money that a sports betting site gives you for funding your sportsbook account. Typically, a deposit bonus will be in the form of a match bonus, where the online cashier gives you a certain percentage of the amount that you deposit. For example, if you claim a 75% match bonus and deposit $400, the sportsbook will reward you with a $300 bonus for a total of $700 to wager with. Deposit bonuses will usually go into a separate free-play account rather than into your real money account. You will be able to use your bonus on MLB playoff betting odds and any other sport that you prefer. Pay attention to any rollover requirements, which is the number of times that you must wager your deposit and bonus before being able to request a payout.
