The US is studying not two, but more likely attacks using "directed energy", that is, without the use of projectiles. This is reported by Politico, citing sources familiar with the investigation.

According to the publication, in 2020, the victims were government employees in the Florida city of Miami. There, several people reported symptoms like sudden nausea and dizziness, similar to the so — called "Havana syndrome" - a massive malaise of American diplomats in Cuba. They are considered, among other things, the consequences of mysterious acoustic attacks. Who exactly was injured, is not specified.

On April 29, it was reported that the United States is investigating at least two cases of attacks, including directly near the White House. Before that, it became known that the Pentagon suspected Russia of such attacks, although it can not say this-the symptoms are similar to many diseases and even food poisoning.

Canadians also complain about similar attacks. At the same time, diplomats accuse the authorities of covering up incidents with "brain injuries".

Since the end of 2016, employees of the US diplomatic mission and their relatives in Cuba have also complained of symptoms such as hearing loss, nausea, headaches and balance disorders. Washington has since expelled 15 Cuban diplomats because of the island nation's failure to take appropriate measures to protect American personnel. The Associated Press then obtained an audio recording of the attack and described disturbing sounds: "the high-frequency sound of crickets combined with the scratching of fingernails on a board."
