Russia is responsible for the growing tension in relations with Western countries. Austrian Foreign Minister Alexander Schallenberg accused Moscow of this, TASS reports.
The diplomat noted that Russia regularly conducts military exercises with Belarus and threatens to deploy troops in Latin America, which contributes to the deterioration of relations with Western states. He also accused the Kremlin of cyberattacks against Ukraine.
Schallenberg called on Moscow to remove its hands from Kiev, as well as to withdraw from Transnistria, Donbass, Crimea, Ossetia, Abkhazia. "This would be the way that shows the seriousness of the perception of the Helsinki Final Act," he said.
Earlier, the head of the Russian delegation at the Vienna talks on military security and arms control, Konstantin Gavrilov, said that the talks between Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken could bring progress to the diplomatic process on security.

For several days in a row, the British Air Force has been sending aircraft with weapons to Ukraine. This was stated by the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Maria Zakharova during a briefing for journalists, the broadcast of which is available on the YouTube channel "RT in Russian".
"For several days now, Britain has been sending weapons to Ukraine by military transport planes of its Air Force. It is already quite obvious that at least six flights were organized," Maria Zakharova said. According to her estimates, the aircraft can take on board up to 77.5 tons of cargo, that is, London has transferred a total of about 460 tons of weapons to Kiev.
Zakharova also said that Britain had supplied portable anti-tank complexes to the Ukrainian army. As she noted, with the help of such weapons, it is possible to fight in urban conditions. Also, according to her, Western instructors teach the Ukrainian military exactly the tactics of urban battles.
On January 18, it became known that the UK had delivered a batch of weapons to Ukraine. A transport plane of the Royal Air Force landed in Kiev with a cargo of light anti-tank weapons. Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine for European Integration Anatoly Petrenko noted that the funds provided will be used exclusively for defense purposes.

There are indeed instructors from Russia on the territory of the Central African Republic (CAR), but Moscow does not interfere in the internal affairs of the African country. This is how Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov assessed the presence of the Russian military in the republic, RIA Novosti reported on Thursday, January 20.
"There really are our military advisers there... But, of course, some kind of participation in the internal processes of the CAR is impossible, and there is no question about it," the press secretary of the Russian president assured.
At the same time, he noted that Moscow implements relations with the CAR authorities "at various levels."
Earlier in January, Russian Ambassador to the CAR Alexander Bikantov said that there are currently 1,135 Russian military instructors in the republic. According to him, they arrived in the country in early 2018 at the request of the president of the CAR Faustin-Arkange Touadera, who feared the capture of the capital Bangui by militants.
In June last year, CNN published an investigation conducted jointly with the independent investigative group The Sentry ("Sentry"). In it, Russians and alleged Syrian mercenaries acting on the side of the military CAR were accused of mass killings of civilians who did not take part in the fighting. The Russian Foreign Ministry called the article a "propaganda salvo."
Before that, Russian specialists have repeatedly been accused of crimes against the residents of the CAR. In particular, the RFI investigation indicated that the republic's troops and their Russian allies were involved in hundreds of cases of violations of human rights and international humanitarian law, including 26 extrajudicial executions, five cases of rape, as well as 27 arbitrary arrests and imprisonment.
