The Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) of the United States considered the unlikely version of the involvement of enemies or secret weapons in most cases of the manifestation of the "Havana syndrome" in diplomats. This is reported by Politico, citing sources.
A senior representative of the department said that intelligence had found an explanation for a significant part of the reported cases of the mysterious ailment. They can be explained by medical, environmental or technical factors, including previously undiagnosed diseases. Moreover, the CIA considers the version of malicious harm to American diplomats "on a global scale" unlikely.
