п»їChiefs vs. Buccaneers prop bets, odds: Vegas experts unveil top 30 picks, predictions for 2021 Super Bowl.
SportsLine's Vegas insiders reveal their top Super Bowl LV prop bets.
With plenty of ways to bet the big game, professional and amateur bettors alike are scouring the latest 2021 Super Bowl prop bets in search of an edge. The Kansas City Chiefs and Tampa Bay Buccaneers have exciting offenses loaded with playmakers, but does that mean you should load up on overs as you make your 2021 Super Bowl prop picks? Or should your 2021 Super Bowl betting strategy involve exploiting the unders?
The latest Super Bowl 55 prop lines list Tom Brady as the 2-1 favorite to register the first turnover, with Mahomes at 5-2 and the two starting running backs listed at 15-1. Should you go against the grain with your 2021 Super Bowl props? Before locking in any NFL prop bets for Super Bowl LV, you need to see the Buccaneers vs. Chiefs prop predictions from SportsLine's proven NFL experts.
SportsLine's team of experts include R.J. White, Larry Hartsein, Kenny White, Emory Hunt, Mike Tierney and Mike McClure. White is the CBS Sports gambling and Fantasy editor and enters the 2021 Super Bowl as SportsLine's top NFL expert. He's on an 80-56 run on all NFL picks, returning over $1,500 during that span.
Hartstein is SportsLine's senior analyst and on a 22-12 run on his NFL against the spread picks, returning well over $800. Hunt, Tierney and White are all experienced sports bettors, and McClure is a professional DFS player with nearly $2 million in winnings. As SportsLine's predictive data engineer, McClure also specializes in player projections and advanced statistical analysis.
With the 2021 Super Bowl scheduled for Feb. 7, SportsLine's team of experts have evaluated the NFL player props and locked in their top 30 2021 Super Bowl prop picks. You can only see them here.
Top Super Bowl 55 prop picks for Chiefs vs. Buccaneers.
McClure is backing Chiefs wide receiver Tyreek Hill to go over 89.5 receiving yards. In Kansas City's Week 12 victory over Tampa Bay, Hill hauled in 13 receptions for 269 yards and three touchdowns. He's also finished with at least 110 receiving yards in his last two games.
"Hill hit this number in the first quarter in the November matchup between these two teams," McClure told SportsLine. "While I'm not expecting a 269-yard game, my median simulation number is 96.4 yards in this matchup. The most attractive thing about betting a Hill over is the fact that he can turn a four-yard pass into a 50-yard gain very easily."
Another 2021 Super Bowl prop bet SportsLine's experts are all over: Tierney is backing Hill as the 2021 Super Bowl MVP at 12-1. Hill matched his career-high with 87 receptions this season and turned that into 1,276 yards and a career-high 15 touchdown catches. He also added 13 carries for 123 yards and two more scores. His ability to strike with a game-changing play makes him a serious threat to put up the numbers that can pry the MVP out of the quarterback's hands.
In Week 12 when the Chiefs visited the Buccaneers, Hill caught 13 passes for 269 yards and three touchdowns. "Coach Andy Reid finds creative ways to get Hill the ball," Tierney told SportsLine. "A wide receiver, Julian Edelman, accepted the Super Bowl MVP award two years ago. Mostly, it's a quarterback honor, but the odds for Patrick Mahomes and Tom Brady are too short."

Super Bowl 2021: Chiefs vs. Bucs Favorite and Betting Odds from Las Vegas.
Featured Columnist January 31, 2021 Comments Comment Bubble Icon.
Super Bowl LV is now only a week away. In exactly seven days, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Kansas City Chiefs will do battle for the biggest prize in football, the Lombardi Trophy.
This will be a historic Super Bowl for multiple reasons. Firstly, it will mark the first time in the game's history that a team hosts the Super Bowl in its home stadium. Secondly, it will mark the 10th Super Bowl appearance for Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady.
No other quarterback has started more than five Super Bowls. Brady can also become the first quarterback to win Super Bowls in two different conferences. Peyton Manning is currently the only quarterback to start and win Super Bowls with two different teams.
Of course, the Kansas City Chiefs will have a little something to say about Brady winning anything next Sunday. They have their own premier quarterback in Patrick Mahomes, who has a league MVP and a Super Bowl MVP on his three-year resume as a full-time starter.
Which quarterback and team does Las Vegas favor in this matchup? Let's take a look at the latest odds and over/under from DraftKings Sportsbook.
Where: Raymond James Stadium, Tampa, Florida.
When: February 7, 2021.
Time: 6:30 p.m. ET.
TV and Live Stream: CBS, CBS All Access.
Line and Over/Under: KC -3.5, 56.5.
Prediction: Kansas City 31, Tampa Bay 28.
While the Chiefs were three-point favorites for much of the past week, the line at the time of writing has widened ever so slightly.
Three points was a fine starting point, as this was the margin of Kansas City's 27-24 regular-season victory over Tampa. It's not a shock to learn that the money has pushed the line toward Kansas City, as the Chiefs have only lost one game with Mahomes as the starter this season.
However, Mahomes could have his hands full with Shaquil Barrett, Jason Pierre-Paul and the rest of the Tampa pass rush. Starting right tackle Mitchell Schwartz has been out since Week 6 with a back injury, and starting left tackle Eric Fisher was lost for the year to a torn Achilles in the AFC title game.
"That loss of Fisher is, I think a really, really big deal, this time of year," former NFL quarterback Jordan Palmer said, per Pete Grathoff of the Kansas City Star .
It won't help that the Buccaneers have a fierce pass rush without the need to blitz. Mahomes faced a similarly strong front against the Miami Dolphins, and he threw three of his six 2020 interceptions in that game.
Tampa also boasts the league's best run defense—in both yards and yards-per-attempt allowed—which will likely put pressure on Mahomes to carry the offense.
Therefore, it shouldn't be a surprise if the Buccaneers defense is able to keep this one within a field goal.
Of course, this doesn't necessarily mean that a close game will favor Tampa Bay. Brady and the Buccaneers offense will have to avoid their own mistakes to come out on top—and Brady is coming off a three-interception game against the Green Bay Packers.
Kansas City has its own capable pass rush, led by Chris Jones and Frank Clark. They can make it necessary for Tampa to lean more heavily on Leonard Fournette, Ronald Jones II and the ground game.
Look for the Buccaneers to try shortening the game and controlling the tempo with the run, while the Chiefs attack Tampa's 21st-ranked pass defense with weapons like Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce. This should lead to a fair amount of scoring, even with plenty of defensive talent on the field.
There's a good chance that this game hits the over and perhaps an even better chance that the team holding the ball last will walk away with the Lombardi Trophy.

Super Bowl 2021: Vegas Betting Odds, Updated Moneyline for Chiefs vs. Bucs.
Featured Columnist January 29, 2021 Comments Comment Bubble Icon.
Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have carried tremendous value on the moneyline in their past two games.
Brady and Co. will be the underdog for the third consecutive contest in Super Bowl 55 against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Just like the matchups with the New Orleans Saints and Green Bay Packers, Brady's counterpart will be a Super Bowl champion.
Patrick Mahomes enters Raymond James Stadium with a 6-1 postseason record. The only loss was to Brady and the New England Patriots two seasons ago.
Mahomes has won two regular-season showdowns with Brady, including one in Week 12 of this season, but to cash in on his team's favorite status, he has to outplay the six-time Super Bowl champion inside the Bucs' home stadium.
Super Bowl 55 Odds.
Spread: Kansas City (-3)
Over/Under: 56.5.
Tampa Bay is the better play on the moneyline since it is playing inside its home stadium, has Brady at quarterback and, most importantly, has underdog value.
The Buccaneers went 5-3 at Raymond James Stadium and scored over 25 points in each of their victories.
In the past three weeks, Tampa Bay has eclipsed the 30-point mark against the Washington Football Team, Saints and Packers.
If the Bucs score at a similar rate on February 7, they should be in a good position to cash underdog moneyline tickets.
However, a victory on home soil will not come easy against a team that went into Florida and controlled the first half of the Week 12 showdown.
Mahomes and Tyreek Hill were unstoppable in the opening 30 minutes of that clash, and Hill ended up with a career-high 269 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Kansas City's defense limited Tampa Bay to seven first-half points, and it was able to hold off a late surge from Brady and land a three-point victory.
Any string of defensive stops should quell the threat posed by the six-time Super Bowl champion.
In Tampa Bay's three home defeats, it scored fewer than 25 points each time. The Los Angeles Rams held it to 24 points, and the Saints did not allow a touchdown in Week 9.
By Kansas City's standard, the Week 12 contest was a low-scoring affair. The Chiefs went over the 30-point mark on five occasions on their travels.
Even if the Chiefs are held under that threshold by the Tampa Bay defense, they have proved that they can win games in which they score around 25 points.
Kansas City scored 22 points in its divisional-round victory over the Cleveland Browns, and it produced 23 points during Mahomes' first victory against Brady in 2019.
While the Chiefs have less value than the Buccaneers on the moneyline, they are still worth a money-line bet because they are at a much cheaper price than they were throughout the regular season, when they were favored by a touchdown or more on a regular basis.

NFL Futures Betting Odds.
Super Bowl 55 Odds.
Similar to other Super Bowls, the betting pattern makes sense as many don't believe the point-spread will matter. The theory is lay the points with KC or expect Tampa to win outright since a 1, 2 or 3-point margin is unlikely.
Super Bowl 55 Most Valuable Player Odds.
Wagering on the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the Super Bowl is always one of the most popular wagers and some of the returns are very generous.
This award has long been dominated by quarterbacks and rightfully so. Of the previous 54 winners (SB XII had co-MVP's), 30 of them have come from the quarterback position. As the guys who touch the ball the most, they've tended to have the most impact on the game, so it's easy to see why the award is dominated by the position.
To no surprise, Patrick Mahomes and Tom Brady are this year’s favorites to win the Super Bowl 55 MVP.
After the two signal callers, a pair of playmakers for Kansas City in wide receiver Tyreke Hill and tight end Travis Kelce followed the pair on the betting board.

Super Bowl 55 Over-Under Total Odds.
Along with money-line and point-spread wagers, the Over-Under or Total will be one of the most popular bets for Super Bowl 55.
For this matchup between the Chefs and Buccaneers, points are expected with an over-under of 56.5.
Based on the numbers below, the second and fourth quarters are expected to see action in Super Bowl 55.
Super Bowl 55 Novelty Prop Odds.
The Super Bowl has become one of the biggest events to wager on, which opens up unique markets such as novelty prop betting.
There are hundreds of props available to bet on for Super Bowl LV.
From the color of Gatorade being dumped onto the head coach to the coin toss, there are various props associated with the Super Bowl's novelty market.

Odds To Win Super Bowl LVI (2/6/22)
The sportsbook at BetMGM has released odds for Super Bowl LVI, which will take place at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California on February 6, 2022.
The Kansas City Chiefs will look to make their third consecutive Super Bowl appearance next season, as they are favored at 6/1 odds to win the 2021 title.
The Green Bay Packers , in spite of losing the NFC championship to Tampa Bay, are right behind the Chiefs as the second favorite to capture the Super Bowl title in southern California at 9/1 odds.
Recently, the Los Angeles Rams were adjusted from an open of 20/1 to 12/1 after the team acquired quarterback Matthew Stafford from the Detroit Lions.
The Rams are one of four teams listed at 12/1 odds to win Super Bowl 56, which will be played at the same venue that Los Angeles plays its regular season games.

How to Bet on NFL Futures.
Where to Bet: Colorado Illinois Indiana Michigan New Jersey Pennsylvania All States.
Who’s going to win the Super Bowl ? One of the most popular questions often asked by anybody and everybody that bets on NFL Futures, especially online bettors from the United States. Answering that question isn’t easy but placing wagers on NFL Future odds can be done on “Any Given Sunday” and every other day too. Put simply, the Futures market for the NFL is always open. The opening market is set by oddsmakers after the following season has ended in February, sometimes even while the current season hasn’t been completed yet in late January. For the most part, the initial betting lines are mirrored based on what the current perception of the team is after the latest season and that’s where the value can be had.
The NFL has 32 teams, split into two conferences of 16 and then divided into four divisions of four. NFL Futures are available to win not only the Super Bowl, but also the winner of each conference and the eight divisions as well. Some online betting shops get even more creative with their markets and allow bettors an opportunity of which two teams will meet in the Super Bowl. Those odds are usually higher and bettors can strike a generous return but predicting one outcome isn’t easy, so imagine doing so twice.
Super Bowl Odds.
The pro football finale usually takes place on the first Sunday in February and the outcome of that game is tied into plenty of Futures Odds tickets, in particular bets placed on Super Bowl Odds. The most popular futures betting market is focused on the Super Bowl and the final outcome boosts the handle for the Super Bowl, since future tickets are made official after the last game.
After the opening odds are posted in late January or early February, the Super Bowl Odds market tends to be stable until the spring or second quarter of the year. During the time, the NFL produces the NFL Draft where top College Football players are selected by teams. While it’s rare to see youngsters make an immediate impact on teams, the optimism from fans can lead to future bets. Along with the draft, the NFL Free Agency period begins and that allows players to join other teams with new contracts. These transactions are very volatile on the Super Bowl Odds market and bettors often place wagers on clubs, especially if they acquire a top position player like a quarterback.
After the spring and summer, the largest volume of Super Bowl Odds tickets take place in August just prior to the regular season. At this time, most bettors have done their homework on rosters, coaches, schedules, etc. That betting research is essential in your NFL Future wagers analysis.
