#month President Biden - 2022-07-26 gas prices #tweeted #gas #average - Aale#skeriut - 07-27-2022 President Biden continued to brag about gas prices falling by a small amount on Twitter Monday morning, to the mockery of users. "For American families looking for a little more breathing room, these savings matter," Biden’s presidential account tweeted. The tweet also included a graphic informing followers that "At current prices, the average driver will spend $35 less per month for one peson [sic]" or "$70 less per month for a family with two cars than they would if gas prices stayed at their peak." Washington Examiner and Daily Signal contributor Nicole Russell tweeted, "But I thought you had nothing to do with gas prices?" Louisiana Sen. Bill Cassidy wrote, "In other words, Americans are paying over $100 more a month per ‘peson’ to fill up their gas tanks than when Biden took office." Washington Examiner reporter Andrew Kerr noted, "The figures in Biden's tweet this morning assume the average ‘peson’ is consuming 50 gallons of gas a month per vehicle. 2 cars = 100 gallons of gas = $70 in ‘savings’ a month for the average American family, according to Biden's methodology." "Now do prices compared to a year ago, snake oil salesman," Lone Conservative founder Kassy Dillon tweeted. Biden had previously suggested that rising gas prices and inflation rates were caused by a "Putin Price Hike" due to the war in Ukraine. Since prices have fallen after their peak in June while the war rages on, the administration has started taken credit for the average price for a gallon of gas falling below $5. However, most states continue to pay more than $4 a gallon for gas, with the average price as of Monday at $4.36. When Biden took office on January 20, 2021, the average cost was $2.39 a gallon. Many users also called out the blatant typo in the graphic, using "peson" instead of "person" in an official government tweet. BIDEN MUST ‘STOP THE FALL IN GASOLINE PRICES,’ SET $5 GALLON MINIMUM TO COMBAT CLIMATE CHANGE: BLOOMBERG OP-ED "For one 'peson'? That's great. I hate paying too much for a peson! Peson inflation is a bane on the nation's economy!" Washington Times reporter Mike Glenn tweeted. Townhall.com editor Rebecca Downs wrote, "Who spellchecked this…? What is a ‘peson?’" "How many people were involved in planning, designing, editing and sending this poster? Minimum of five, probably a lot more. Yet it still went out with a glaring typo. Tells you a lot about how this White House is staffed and run," tweeted Hans Mahncke, co-host of "Truth Over News" on EpochTV. 8392538 5936446 9676805 401443 6151190 8233104 1137972 9835607 5277259 9917 2729914 1272371 9392500 3073981 9494426 7382586 6711940 202341 1342119 5374251 9079458 7208574 7793150 2597620 9420634 7065702 2941896 3188926 4315310 9649926 8572327 5579816 917603 3224895 5937222 3219309 9941908 6237103 9130747 3350404 8935418 540463 5555890 1192021 2541807 9614555 1429046 9358951 8993825 7905135 2809348 4878854 4550011 9841961 5113383 8626176 74928 9664199 6582319 4549271 6508703 5621229 3674877 8500028 8431360 4654130 8850390 9040621 7433859 6151757 3720365 5046141 9528551 5870596 3017824 7461607 3312615 3613960 7377811 5057108 8094426 765838 5380018 6512364 3722516 6271061 7824147 3691681 6306535 2160985 9718390 3436679 6580417 2203589 7935545 7733907 101055 9793289 5013256 4594146 1013252 3659920 2066786 4483304 3603672 2484970 6280248 9661144 8349583 2041746 950833 6261636 1693442 929206 8540270 1456183 1249668 3505592 9728622 555167 680757 1115497 3907444 1382963 940761 5195921 9103496 5770189 7118290 8368855 1801712 512250 2596488 2099842 9612518 2627361 4737154 2021698 2291633 6275908 8829228 4525640 9033551 1165985 9499378 699560 2558518 4795303 1314351 6211785 2911427 3384873 2788924 8245075 6485202 8825195 529682 3055318 8207667 1504262 2712357 262435 7372808 1334221 3633492 2466288 84848 1849876 3539171 1276789 |
